I don’t know about you, but when I think about who I want to elect as sheriff I picture John McLane or Dirty Harry. I’m pretty sure I’m not alone on this. So why is it that candidates for sheriff look like politicians in their campaign ads and materials? They say they’re tough on criminals and ready to protect our neighborhoods, but their billboards and yard signs make them look like they want to be a state senator. Fortunately, Steve Bazzle had the same feeling when I was able to design his logo. The sharp typography, emblematic shield and color combination positioned Major Bazzle as the strong and resilient candidate. In the campaign season’s deluge of red, white and blue, this campaign stood out above all others.
