Good-N-Loud
Good-N-Loud came to Adams Outdoor to refresh their billboard advertising plan. For years, they only advertise around Christmas and their creative of Santa shredding on a guitar was a little antiquated. As they said, it helped their competitors more than it actually helped them. So for their next campaign, we needed to rethink the strategy and positioning.
Positioning
To differentiate Good-N-Loud, we needed to focus on a core group of musicians. Teenagers who have dreams of becoming rock stars became our target audience because they tend to purchase more accessories and upgrade more frequently than seasoned musicians. Our mission was to create devotion to Good-N-Loud as the place to go for emerging rockers.
Strategy
“Become a rock star” would have been the boring headline to use, so we lunged far ahead to say “Unleash Your Rock Monster.” To really speak to this audience, our designer and illustrator, John Rockwell, took a cue from iconic gig posters to create these guitar-shredding, drum-destroying, bass-thumping monsters.
